The Painted Ladies (The Sherbet Houses)
There are no tours of The Painted Ladies, so all you can truly do is stare at them. That’s fantastic if that’s what you want to do. Unfortunately, it’s no different than seeing the Full House opening sequence. They are identical, and the worst thing is that John Stamos will not be present. However, if you’re a fan of Full House, the house is still available for you to snap amusing family photos in front of. It’s difficult to say how many people visit the theme homes because there aren’t any tickets or anything, but if it’s on your bucket list, you’re close to plenty of other interesting things to do!
The Pyramids
The Giza Pyramids are another one of those places that sounds fantastic on paper. What’s not to appreciate about timeless antiques, human achievement, and everything else an attraction might have? When the large crowds are factored in, however, the urge to experience history for yourself begins to fade. At this point, it’s all become a tourist trap. Nothing says “history” quite like eating Pizza Hut while gazing at pyramids. Dahshur is the place to go if you want to see ancient Egyptian pyramids for yourself. Because it contains some of the best-preserved pyramids in the country, the Dahshur pyramid field has been crucial to understanding the ancient Egyptians and their pyramid-building techniques. The Red Pyramid, which is located there, is the third-largest in the world.
Arashiyama Bamboo Grove
Walking through the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove may appear to be the ideal nature stroll, yet it is far from that. Photographs of the grove that appear pure, tranquil, and quiet are common. The reality, however, is the polar opposite, thanks to the massive crowds that flock to the location. Unless you arrive early in the morning, you will have to contend with the usual tourist hordes. Check out the Adashino Nenbutsu-ji Temple if you’re looking for a better time where you might be able to meditate. The bamboo forest is smaller, yet it is still beautiful. Compared to the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, there are fewer people and better photo chances here. You can also visit the Buddhist temple that is located nearby.
