30 Awful Christmas Decor Trends

“Baby’s First Christmas” Ornaments

These “Baby’s First Christmas” ornaments, like the memory Christmas ornaments, never seem to go in with the rest of your decor. Typically, these decorations are presented as gifts from someone else, who has no idea what your holiday decor will be like that year. As a result, it only happens very seldom. It’s acceptable if you want to remember your baby’s first Christmas with its own ornament. Just acquire your own, or let everyone know ahead of time what your decor is like so everything matches. You can also hang it alongside the other handmade and memory decorations on the “Special” tree.

Hodge-Podged Memory Trees

Finally, the hodge-podge memory is perhaps the most divisive item of decor on our list. Christmas trees are possibly the most cheesy decoration in your home over the holidays. It’s fine that these trees are purposely tacky. After all, they’re there for a reason! As a result, it’s something that will last. You can’t get rid of your aunt Susan, who never has anything pleasant to say and just doesn’t fit in with the rest of the family. You have to live with her because she’s there. Yes, your memory tree is cheesy…but that’s fine. Throwing away all of those ornaments would be even more obnoxious.

Too Much Holiday Hooplah

Have you ever met someone who begins listening to Christmas music in the middle of July? Yeah, we’ve all met at least one of those types of people, and they’re a pain! We understand; the holidays are a lovely time of year, and we applaud anyone who wishes to celebrate life. But, as they say, everything in moderation. When you have too much of a good thing, it rapidly becomes a negative thing. Allowing your Christmas decorations to close in on you is a bad idea. Keeping things simple, elegant, and timeless is always a smart idea. Things can quickly spiral out of control and get tacky if you’re not careful!
